Yay!!

It works. Now I can happily update my journal throughout the day and then quickly and easily upload my entries at the end of the day from home so there aren't any incriminating entries in the proxy reports. I've got all the features: picture selection, mood selection, even public/friends/private security. Hehe! Such a geek!

Second test, problem with moods...

This is the first test of my new offline Notes-based client.

Yawn

Just waiting for a process to finish in the background. I often wonder how much of my life has been spent waiting for blue lines to crawl across my computer screen. But what the hell, I'm getting paid for it. The idea of getting paid on a regular basis started to sink in last night at the club. Not only do I have my rent and bills sorted out for this month, but I have the next six month, (and longer if I take the full-time job) lined up. I've been mentally shopping since the idea started to gel.

Stupid project

Ungh. I worked on this one last frigging project I have today. I don't want to do it anymore. If it wasn't for this obligation I could have enjoyed the day, but noooooo.... I'm here working. This must stop. If I must do this eight-hours-a-day thing downtown I want my off time to be off time. I want to paint and draw pictures and go to the pub. I hate transitions. I'm not doing this next weekend. This project gets finished this weekend and that's that!

Less than thrilled

Third day at the new job and I am bored silly. I'm sitting here inventing ways to update my LiveJournal without it leaving a trace in the proxy logs. So the best I can think of right now is using a word file on a floppy that I can take with me and then cut and paste into my Live Journal later. I'll have to think of something better later.

There's always a bright side.

The upside of not having any work right now is that I am starting to get some of those "one of those days when I have time" things done. I'm got my new website going (of which this journal is a part) and now I have finally gotten my web cam running again.

Wacky Old Stuff

So I've finally begun working on my new web site. It took me a while to decide on a "look". I've gone with using old notes and such from my old notebooks, sketchbooks and diaries for backgrounds. For my default background I found the original hand-written draft for my very first web page. For this journal I went back into my old diaries and went spelunking for an interesting entry - I found a good one: the day I first dyed my hair black waaaay back in the 80's.
