I shouldn't be grumpy, but...

Objectively speaking more good has happened this morning than bad, but I'm still low on caffeine so I am easily irked and difficult to please. Both Mike and Elisabeth complimented me on my forest paintings. I really appreciate that. Just a tiny bit of positive encouragement can keep me going for quite some time. If this was all that came up this morning I think I would be happy. But that isn't all that happened. My server decided to act up this morning (I don't know why yet). I fucked around for nearly an hour trying to figure it out properly then simply rebooted to get it out of the way and get to work. While I am at it I got a call from a "client" who was choked that the server was down this morning. Being bitched at first thing in the morning doesn't do much for my mood on the best of days. Whatever. The application they are using is designed on a shoestring budget as a temporary stop-gap. If they don't like the service they can bite me. They are getting what they paid for and then some. Then I dragged my ass into work and here I sit in my vibrant and exciting cubicle where the first thing I am greeted with is an e-mail from some other peon in HR bitching at me for nothing of any consequence whatsoever.

So here is my message to the corporate world - fuck off until I have had my damn coffee!
