Just got off the phone with Telus because my phone bill had gone up from what I negotiated last December. I hate that haggling with a utility is a thing. A few minutes on the phone and my bill is now lower than what it was before they arbitrarily tried to raise it. The business model for the entire telecom industry is to bilk as many people for as much as possible and hope they don't notice. Note well that they back down like a bully with a bleeding nose if you choose to haggle: my bill is roughly half of the totally made up "full price."
