Model, dancer, and actress.
I couldn't find a definitive souce for the photo I worked from, but I found others that seem to be from the same shoot that are credited to pin-up artist Charles Gates Sheldon, taken around 1931.
Her life story is worth looking up. It's dramatic and more than a little bit tragic.
