Exciting Morning Meetings

« previous next »
Work is a thrill a minute. I have an adage that the usefulness of a meeting is inversely proportional to the elaborateness of the doodles produced during the meeting.

This is from an hour-long meeting this morning. The text is the original Latin of Occam's Razor (Literally it says "Entities are not to be multiplied beyond their practical necessity". This can be interpreted as "The simplest solution is the best solution" or, more bluntly, "Keep it simple, stupid"). This is made funnier by its context on page 2 of 5 of a stupidly complicated Gantt chart printed on 11x17 paper that changes almost daily and has little to no bearing on what is actually going on.
