I was just going through old slides and was looking at a whole series I took from the top of the Hyatt in 1992.



THe alley north of Georgia St., looking west toward the park. Notice the near complete lack of condo towers. The MacMillan-Bloedel Building (aka "the waffle building" is still pretty much the first really tall building a person would see coming into town from the park. And if you look very closely at the bottom of picture you can see:



The Banff, before it was painted red. That's what is now our bay window at the bottom.



And behold, the old BC Hydro Building still sporting the old BC Hydro logo and the funky 1960's Christmas tree before the building was gutted, turned into condos and renamed after the paragon of paternal incest, Electra.
