Long Day, Short Post

« previous next »

5:00 a.m. Alarm goes off (you know you are up way to early when the "late night" program is still on the radio)
5:45 a.m. Out the door and on my way to the airport
6:20 a.m. Made better time than expected, read the National Post to kill time.
6:50 a.m. Board jet with CEO, President, and VP(IS)
7:45 a.m. Arrive at Williams Lake and drive to mill
8:00 a.m. Meet forestry consultant and long day of tweaking annual Forestry Plan reporting on webiste
12:00 p.m. Break for lunch (I like it when the company pays for lunch)
1:00 p.m. Back at it, plus go over requirements for project definition for related upcoming project. Got tons done.
3:00 p.m. Time to go pack to Vancouver. Have a glass of wine on jet with the execs (I know, rough life!)
4:00 p.m. Start driving back into town
5:00 p.m. Visit kitsune13 and Langsuir to pick up boxes - and they feed me. They're so damn hospitable. And my second free meal of the day - can't complain about that!
6-ish p.m. Leave because I only put an hour in the meter and don't want to get a ticket. The meter is expired when I get back to car, but no ticket - *phew*
7-ish p.m. Arrive at "home". Iv doesn't even look up from the book she is reading to the kids to say "hello". I skulk into the basement like a troll and disappear.

All-in-all a good day. I'm happy with what I got done at work, not to mention having a private jet as part of your "commute" is a blast. Unfortunately the cloud cover today sucked so I didn't get any good pictures like last time.
