A few observations on a really sleeping morning

« previous next »

OK, I was up late working and up early to drive Ivana's dad to the airport. I'm on auto-pilot and even the ordinary seems strange today.

Observation #1: North-Van bus drivers don't believe in Gastown. Last Friday I had to wave like I was hailing a cab to get the bus home to pick me up at what is supposed to be a regular stop in front of the Van Horne building. This morning, despite someone having rung the stop bell the driver flew by the stop and only pulled over when the rider protested "Hey! That's my stop!" Apparently, in the minds of the bus drivers, no one from North Van would every have cause to come from or go to Gastown.

Observation #2: What the hell is up will rolling backpacks? It appears that people have become too lazy to carry their packs. With everyone rolling little packs behind them VCC looked more like an airport than a college.

Observation #3: Driving someone to the airport at 4 a.m. is not good for my productivity.
