I seem to have lost the ability to give a shit about anything.

Now with that in mind let's take a look at the word "apathetic" :

A: From Greek a-. A negative prefix meaning "not" or "without". E.g. atom, "Not cuttable"; amoral, "without morals".

Pathetic: You know this word. See where I am going?

Fer fuck's sake. In addition to the lame-o virus thing I noticed a crapload of (failed) DoS attacks against my webserver. Sorry, script-kiddies, if you want to find a vulnerable webserver, go attack a bank.

Some idiot in California mailed me a virus amateurishly disguised as a zip file of photos for the Gothic BC site. This is what I have to contend with. Fortunately I'm not an idiot. But really, this is the kind of thing I was bitching about the other day. Somebody tell me again why I should bother?

I got in trouble for this sentence

The following is an excerpt from an e-mail I sent at work this morning to a project manager, "If anyone whines remind them that this is a pilot and we need to ensure the data we collect is controlled and consistent."

Apparently "whine" was too sarcastic. Someone whined about it.
