Swimming on the west side of Posidi Beach with Mt. Olympus is the background.
This was day 2. I rented a car and drove it down. The highways were fine, but the little towns on the way were a challenge. Lines on the roads are not well maintained and traffic light placement is quite different. It was rarely clear where to stop and I'm sure I ran at least one light. Getting back through Thessaloniki was stressful. Most of the lines on the road are gone or obscured by a veneer of rubber melted off tires by the hot roads. The city is old and despite an early 20th century redesign along the lines of the Champs Elisyée in Paris (designed by French architect Ernest Hébrard) after a catastrophic fire in 1917, outside of that area there are still some deeply confusing intersections where five or more streets with one to four lanes come together at odd angles and all the guides are long gone.
Changing at Posidi was an adventure, too. A Google AI hallucination said there were public changing rooms. "Were" is the operative word. They were in ruin, I'm guessing abandoned in the 2009 financial crisis, if not earlier. Tromped through the underbrush and used them anyway.
